JINGART was born in 2018 on the initiative of Kelly Ying, David Chau and Bao Yifeng. The team also created five years before the now leading ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair. As a result, many of the 41 international exhibitors of JINGART have been regulars at ART021, like for instance the world-famous David Zwirner. The fair focuses on high-quality modern and contemporary art with some design as well. The range of artworks displayed is wide. Indeed, visitors can view and purchase furniture, jewels and watches, ceramics, coins, paintings, photographs, and more. Additionally, JINGART presents some projects realized with its brand partners, like for instance the ‘Young Artist of the Year’ Nominee’s exhibition’ with Porche or #IncredibleWomen# exhibition with Net-A-Porter. Finally, the fair takes place annually in May, under the dome of Beijing Exhibition Center which adds prestige to the event.
Due to the spread of coronavirus, JINGART 2020 has been cancelled.
