PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai is the premier show for the photographic medium in the Asian Pacific. The show is fully focused and committed to all aspects of photography as an art form. Thus, it showcases works using the latest technology, as well as more traditional methods. Classic masterpieces, modern imagery and grand-scale installations are indeed exhibited side by side in a thoughtfully presented fair. With 50 international galleries exhibiting beside a curated collection of site-specific artists, collectors of photography will find plenty to discover at the fair. PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai first opened its doors in 2014, and is held annually in September at the impressive Shanghai Exhibition Centre. Another edition – PHOTOFAIRS San Francisco – successfully opened in 2017 to expand its influence in the Western art market.
