SCOPE Art Show Miami Beach

SCOPE Art Show runs three fairs a year in Basel, New York and Miami Beach. Each show celebrates contemporary art with a strong focus on emerging artists and new galleries. SCOPE Art Show Miami Beach is a long-running event that brings together approximately 140 exhibitors from around the world with 60,000 visitors expected to view the work on display. This is a leading show that attracts good sales of work over the 5 days it is open. SCOPE Miami Beach, which takes place annually in December, is known for its knack of bringing new trends and cutting edge ideas to the forefront. What is SCOPE Miami DNA?

Miami Beach truly harmonizes with our sense of the spectacular and is the end of the year celebration of all the best galleries, curators, and institutions we work with throughout the year. In 2017, SCOPE celebrated a landmark year when it was honored by the City of Miami Beach Commission for the show’s achievements, in a bill sponsored by Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber, and Commissioners Michael Góngora and Kristin Rose Gonzalez.

Each city has its own personality, and SCOPE’s mandate of showing new talent attracts all collectors interested in what gems the emerging art world has to offer.

What type of galleries are chosen to exhibit, and why?

SCOPE’s energy comes from its willingness to take a chance before others — this is the hallmark of a true visionary brand, and galleries have taken notice. Since the beginning, SCOPE has remained a safe haven and an incubator for new voices to thrive and grow.

SCOPE is also proud to exhibit galleries presenting artists in The New Contemporary genre, the next big frontier in the art world that transcends canonical genres and trends. This evolution of the graffiti and urbanism movements into an art world context is being celebrated in the world’s most formative museums and institutions and stands as a critical contribution to both global politics and local community engagement.

What is the price range? Who buy?

$1500-$150,000

With our diverse roster of emerging and mid-career artists, we welcome everyone from the established collector hunting for treasure to the up and coming tastemaker. We pride ourselves on bringing developing patrons that support SCOPE year after year.

“SCOPE’s energy comes from its willingness to take a chance before others.”
