Art Basel Hong Kong

The Art Basel Hong Kong fair has officially been canceled amid the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Art Basel is the premier show presenting modern and contemporary art at three large-scale fairs. The Hong Kong fair is the newest of the group, the others being Art Basel and Art Basel Miami. Taking place in March, it aims to promote art and artists from Asia by bringing together the best international galleries with art professionals, esteemed collectors and the top names in the art world. Art Basel Hong Kong offers a place to network and hear about the exciting developments and new ideas in Asian art. Visitors are introduced to an in depth look at Asia’s art scene both today and in the past. The art fair is divided into sections, including a ‘Galleries’ sector where the World’s leading galleries exhibit their contemporary art, an ‘Insights’ sector where visitors get an insight into curated artists’ lives, and ‘Discoveries’ presenting emerging art. Film, Magazine and Encounters also have sections.
