Founded in 1968, Art Brussels is one of the oldest contemporary art fairs in Europe. Over the years, the fair has established itself as an essential event that welcomes nearly 25,000 visitors each year. Collectors, gallery owners, curators, art professionals and art lovers from all over the world come to discover the richness of the artistic and cultural scene in the European capital. This year, the fair returned to the site of Brussels Expo, an Art Deco icon built for the 1935 Brussels International Exhibition. The 178 international galleries were divided into 3 sections and 1 sub-section. DISCOVERY was focusing on young, emerging and lesser-known artists with recent works (2017-2020). PRIME was presenting established artists, from modern to contemporary. REDISCOVERY was dedicated to 20th century art by living or deceased artists who are underestimated or forgotten. Finally, SOLO focused on the exhibition of a single artist in the whole booth or as an extension of the main booth.
