Billed as a not-to-be-missed art fair, Sydney Contemporary is ambitious, vibrant and diverse. Indeed, established international galleries showcased artwork from emerging and up-and-coming artists. A wide range a mediums of the 20th and 21st centuries are displayed to meet all tastes and budget. Drawings, paintings, installations, videos and performance art from cross-cultural backgrounds can be seen all in one place. Thus, many collectors, first-time buyers as seasoned ones, attend the show every year. Additionally, there are some tours organized and an interesting program of talks. Since 2015, date of its creation, Sydney Contemporary is held at the Carriageworks, Wilson Street – the largest multi-art centre in Australia. The city holds as well The Other Art Fair each year in May.
