Material Art Fair
First launched in 2013, Material Art Fair is a exciting show dedicated to contemporary art. It takes place in February, in the dazzling Mexico art week, at the same timas as the four ZONAMACO, and the young Salón Acme. It is held in the iconic Frontón Mexico, an Art Deco monument in the heart of the city. The participating galleries are very heterogeneous. Indeed, there as some leading names alongside emerging ones, and they come from many different countries – last year the 73 exhibitors were from 22 countries. The public – over 20,000 visitors last year – is also quite ecletic as you can see walking the alleys seasoned collectors, journalists, museum curators, art lovers and simply curious. They all gather to see cutting-edge artworks from all over the world. Additionally, they can enjoy a programme of art performances and talks.
