Contemporary Istanbul

Contemporary Istanbul is an established art fair with more than 13 previous editions under its belt. It has quickly become a very popular event. Indeed, around 75,000 visitors annually walk through the doors during the 4 days of general admission. It attracts approximately 85 galleries and 650 artists from Turkey and the rest of the world. The show is the premier contemporary art show for the country. It takes place in September in the cosmopolitan city of Istanbul – the meeting point of Europe and Asia. Contemporary Istanbul truly aims to be the leading platform for a growing art scene in this part of the world, an encouragement for collectors, dealers and the artists themselves. Its mission is crucial since it is the only international art fair in the country, as for instance Tbsilisi Art Fair in Georgia or BEIRUT ART FAIR in Lebanon.
