Reno Tahoe International Art Show

With a draw to the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe and the majestic Sierra Nevada range, Reno Tahoe has long been home to a significant fine arts community. The inaugural Reno Tahoe International Art Show (September 8-11, 2022) now presents interior designers, architects, art consultants and collectors with an array of new and better fine arts and furnishings at prices untouched by a pressured market. Over 200 regional artists will be joined by over 40 galleries and institutions invited to exhibit from around the world. The show anchors a citywide celebration of art and design, complete with a music festival, awards program and ongoing hospitality.

What would you say is the DNA of RTIA?

Reno Tahoe is home to a significant concentration of highly talented fine artists. Over time they have gravitated to this beautiful environment and more recently been joined by waves of new artists as a result of COVID and a changing environment at many larger metropolis regions. The Reno Tahoe International Art Show seeks to profile a curated showcase of over 1,000 artworks and bespoke furniture to a national and regional audience of designers, collectors and high net worth buyers. Secondly, the RTIA Show invites galleries from around the nation and Europe to present to the +100,000 affluent new arrivals to Reno Tahoe. Over $5 Billion in luxury hones have been purchased, built, redesigned in just that last 16 months and that trend continues. This is a new market of fine art buyers. Finally, RTIA is high on the cool factor with local musicians playing classical and light jazz,, boutique bars featuring local breweries and distilleries, major Burning Man sculptures, music festival and opening night party, Short Film presentations by Oscar hopefuls, awards program at the Nevada Museum of Art, Great Reno Balloon Races, Lake Tahoe events and more.

What type of galleries are chosen to exhibit, and why?

In visiting the in place art fairs, we look for galleries that have what is unique and distinctive in historic, museum quality art as well as galleries that present talented contemporary artists in the full range of styles and pricing. Interesting sculptures are of keen interest as well as galleries that can feature beautifully designed art in furniture. We are most interested in providing an exhibition that is valuable to our audience. Designers, collectors and HNW buyers want unique and distinctive art and objects. If they find it at our show, we become a must attend art and design fair. That’s the end goal.

What is the price range of pieces? Who is the average buyer?

Pricing will range from $300.- $200,000. The average buyer, or end buyer in the case of a designer, is a person with a net worth of +$2 million with a majority owners of 2 more more homes.
