Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong

Affordable Art Fair is a fair known all over the world. Thus there are two editions in Asia – one in Singapore and one in Hong Kong – of the art fair with very reasonable prices. Indeed, art lovers can buy artworks from $1.000. Every year in May, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong displays around 110 local and international galleries, showcasing everything from traditional ink painting to photography. The main difference between Affordable Art Fair and others fairs is that Affordable Art Fair is a fair where visitors can go in family. What would you say is the DNA of Affordable Hong Kong?

Accessible, fun and family-friendly is in ALL Affordable Art Fairs’ DNA. For the Hong Kong edition, we are the biggest Affordable Art Fair around the world but also with most of the international galleries attending each edition as Hong Kong is an important market within Asia. As a metropolitan city and the ease of import and export, galleries around the world love the HK fair bringing a diverse range of affordable and high-quality artworks for the local audience.

What type of galleries are chosen to exhibit, and why?

We have all sorts of galleries! A broad range of mid-tier galleries from Europe, UK, Japan, Korea, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Some of the galleries bring in more traditional artworks attracting the mature audience in Hong Kong and some are younger galleries who support emerging artists around the world. The local galleries also actively support Hong Kong grown artists which brings an authentic local flair to the fair.

What is the price range of pieces? Who is the average buyer?

The price range of HK fair is between HK$1,000 and HK$100,000. Our visitors love art and want to continue their art collection or start the journey of collecting art. Buying art is like falling in love, and we believe that love is forever.

Who is the typical attendee of Affordable HK?

The curious minded with an interest in art and cultural happenings.
