San Francisco Tribal & Textile Art Show

This leading art fair has been running for more than 3 decades in California. The San Francisco Tribal and Textile Art Show promotes art and textiles from tribal cultures and the indigenous people of Africa, Oceania, Indonesia and the Americas. The range of pieces that can be discovered and purchased at this show is varied. Displayed by 70 international dealers, there are rugs, wall hangings, textiles, sculpture, carvings, pottery and basketry. The artefacts and objects offered are pre-historic, antique and modern, all produced using techniques that are traditional to the people. The fair focuses an annual feature, in the past the event has shone a spotlight on a particular country, for example. Book signings and talks are also part of the programme.
