Roy’s Art Fair

Created on 2017 by three artists, Roy’s Art Fair has grown to become to biggest free-entrance contemporary art fair in the UK. The founders – Roy Tyson, Will Claridge and Emma Murphy – truly aimed to promote young talents and emerging artists towards a cosmopolite audience. Thus, they say that the show is “run by artists, for artists”. Any art lover can become a collector at Roy’s. Indeed, the price range is quite affordable to suit all kinds of budgets. The diversity of styles and technique is also very appreciated. Additionally, alongside the trade exhibition itself, the public can enjoy some live paintings and creative workshops. There are two editions of Roy’s Art Fair: one at the iconic Truman Brewery – where take place many shows, as Talented Art Fair or New Artist Fair – the other held at Bargehouse.

What would you say is the DNA of Roy’s Art Fair?

The team at Roy’s Art Fair are all artists in their own right and offer their invaluable expertise and support to both emerging and established artists as they navigate the art world. Their focus is primarily on developing a community led spirit initiated by artists to connect directly with the public and promote both the artists’ and buyers’ interests first. What sets us aside from the host of other art fairs is our comfortable yet energetic atmosphere that allows visitors to connect with artists and invest in artwork they love. Roy’s Art Fair does this at an approachable level, whether you’re an avid art collector or a first-time buyer and with our free entry, we welcome all.

What type of galleries are chosen to exhibit, and why?

We are an Art Fair that gives the opportunity for artists to sell their artwork without a gallery.

What is the price range of pieces? Who is the average buyer?

We pride ourselves on affordability for all. Art lovers can buy original art pieces for as little as £50 and range up to £5,000. There are also chances to buy smaller priced postcards and prints.
